Hey, y'all!
My name is E.A. Meier and I am a Performer & Arts Manager from Dallas, Texas.

My love for dance started when I was two years old, and my parents just needed an activity for me to do. A few years later, when I had to choose between dancing and soccer as my after-school activity, my choice was obvious. It would be dance forever!
At that time my only goal was to make my high school Drill Team, The Highland Belles. I had watched those dancers my whole life, and my mom was a Highland Belle when she was in high school.

From 5th grade through my freshman year of high school I trained with this one goal in mind.
Little did I know my studio, The Power House of Dance would help me develop a love for all styles of dance.

I was also a "theatre kid" through middle school and high school, which further instilled my love of dance in the context of theatre.

My theatre curriculum not only required me to act, teach, direct, and make creative decisions, it also required me to learn the technical elements of show business. Those experiences would majorly influence my life going forward.

Fast forward through high school; I danced and competed with my drill team, I participated in theatre shows, I danced with the band, and then came time for me to think about college...

Dance was an important part of life, and I was not ready to give it up. After much research, I found the perfect college in Oklahoma that offered multiple styles of dance, focused on musical theatre dancing, and offered a full college degree. OCU was my first choice, and after surviving the rigor of their audition, I was admitted into The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Arts Management!

In my junior year, I officially become a Dance Management major! I would soon enter the most intense two years of classes and training. My classes became more narrowly focused on single facets of arts management. They covered producing, stage management, studio management, Non-profit management, development, and fundraising, theatrical production, stage lighting, costume lab, and 1000-level business courses.
I was quickly assigned a variety of jobs for productions and performances based on the skills I acquired in my classes. These jobs are detailed in my business resume which can be found .

Being a senior in college people expect you to know everything, they expect you to have all the secrets to life figured out. You are the top dog. As we all know, this is incredibly wrong. We are constantly learning and discovering new things. My college program follows the same rule. We take a class to teach us absolutely everything we would every need to know to be a successful arts manager and we learn along the way what we enjoy, what we do not, what we are good at, and what we are not. But, we never lose the desire to learn and grow.
Today I am a Dance and Arts Management Graduate,
looking forward to the world of possibilities ahead of me!
